A Strong Opening Weekend at Southampton International Boat Show 2026
Southampton International Boat Show is well underway following a busy opening weekend for the Fortis Marine team.
A little wind, but thankfully no rain, made for a great first few days, with a steady flow of visitors across both our locations. It has been busy throughout, while still giving us the opportunity to spend time with customers, meet new boat owners and have some great conversations.
A standout response to the Xc 47
On the water at Marina Berth M539, the X-Yachts Xc 47has attracted plenty of attention, with visitors taking the time to step aboard and explore both the cockpit and interior.
One comment in particular has become something of a recurring theme over the opening weekend, with a number of visitors describing the Xc 47 as “the best boat at the show.”
It has been fantastic to see such a strong response to the yacht and to have the opportunity to introduce the Xc 47 to those experiencing it for the first time. And with the sunshine now making a very welcome appearance, the bimini is out and the Xc 47 is ready for another busy week of visitors.
Service conversations at H160
Over in the main hall, our dedicated Fortis Marine Service Stand H160 has given us the opportunity to catch up with existing customers and meet plenty of new boat owners.
FurlerBoom has generated particular interest, with lots of conversations around in-boom furling and retrofit possibilities. With the sailing season beginning to draw to a close, winterisation has understandably been another recurring topic, alongside maintenance, servicing and upgrades.
Our service team will be at H160 throughout the show, so if there is a work you've been considering for your yacht, come and have a chat.
Meet Seldén at H160
On Thursday afternoon, we'll also be joined at Service Stand H160 by a representative from Seldén, giving visitors the opportunity to discuss Seldén products and systems directly with both the Seldén and Fortis Marine teams.
The Fortis Marine team is also available throughout the show to discuss electronics and system upgrades, including B&G installations.
