The R4 is shaped for sailors who value feel and feedback on the water. Twin aft helm stations provide excellent visibility over the sails and through the open transom, creating a sailing experience reminiscent of a monohull but faster and flatter. The removable bimini allows you to tailor the cockpit to the weather: shaded for warm climates or open for crisp northern sailing. Clean deck lines and intuitive controls ensure safe, engaging sailing in all conditions.

Go Anywhere Comfort
Unlike many catamarans with a fixed hardtop, the R4 offers a versatile deck saloon concept. The aft cockpit can be enjoyed fully open as a cabriolet, or protected when required.
Inside, the saloon is bright and inviting, with wraparound windows delivering a panoramic view. The galley is modern, functional and well laid out for preparing meals at sea. Natural materials and Scandinavian influenced styling make the saloon feel like a small, elegant apartment afloat — one ready for long journeys.
Spacious Hulls with Smart Layout Options
Owners Hull (Port Side)
The port side owners hull emphasises space as the ultimate luxury. Four full depth lockers provide generous storage, while the optional dresser offers further organisation for extended cruising. The forward heads include a spacious shower, quality fixtures and excellent ventilation.
Guest Hull (Starboard Side)The starboard hull offers impressive flexibility:
- A twin berth that slides together to form a double
- Separate heads for guest privacy
- Multiple forward cabin options: bunk beds, a trapezium berth, or a second full size heads
- Optional two seater with a writing desk for reading, working, or children’s activities
For owners wishing to charter occasionally, or who want greater exclusivity in the owners hull, an optional additional guest heads can be added to the starboard side.

Circular Materials & All Electric Sailing
The R4 is built according to Vaan’s circular design principles. Over 60% of the aluminium used is recycled and sustainable materials such as cork decking, FSC certified woods and recycled fabrics create a warm, low impact interior.
Twin electric saildrives deliver quiet, vibration free propulsion. Energy is supplied via LFP battery banks, solar generation and hydrogeneration under sail. A compact generator can be added for long passages. The result is clean, silent cruising with minimal environmental impact.
